Kwento ni Mama Jesamine
After her first childbirth, Jesamine noticed the body fat, the softer abdomen, the way clothes didn’t quite fit the same. She felt conscious at first since she had always had a slim figure, but she quickly decided to embrace the changes rather than fight them. For her, motherhood meant accepting a new body with the same love she gave her children.
She describes herself as a nonchalant person when it comes to other people’s opinions, but deeply grateful for the support that surrounded her. Her message to families is to be patient with new mothers, listen with an open heart, and make sure they feel loved and proud of what they’ve accomplished. This story shows that a mother doesn’t need to return to who she was before her pregnancy. Rather, she should be met with love, patience, and the reassurance that she is enough.
