Why We Created Duyan
You want to support the mother you love.
But sometimes, it can be hard to know what she needs.
Through our research with Filipino mothers, we heard stories of self-doubt, insecurity, and the quiet emotional challenges that can come with postpartum recovery. Their experiences reminded us that healing is shaped not only by medical care, but also by the understanding and support of loved ones.
Duyan was created to help families and partners better understand what mothers are going through. Through research-based resources, real stories, and practical guides, we hope to make supporting her feel more informed, compassionate, and meaningful.
The People Behind Duyan
We are Multimedia Arts students from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde who believe research can create meaningful change when it is shared with compassion.
DUYAN grew from our undergraduate research into a platform that helps families better understand postpartum body image and emotional recovery. By combining research with thoughtful design and storytelling, we hope to make these conversations more approachable and inspire homes where mothers are met with kindness, patience, and understanding.
